The Brazilian star Issues Apology to Real Madrid Supporters

Vinicius Jr in action

The forward has netted 5 finishes in ten La Liga outings this season.

Los Merengues forward Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to the fanbase for his response when taken off in the recent fiery El Clasico triumph.

The Brazilian was substituted in the second half and showed his disappointment by heading directly to the dressing room.

Vinicius later returned to the sidelines and, following his team's 2-1 win, sought to engage the opposition's youngster Yamal during contentious final whistle incidents.

"This day I want to express regret to all the supporters for my reaction when I was substituted in the big match," the player posted on X.

"Just as I have said in person during this morning's session, I wish to say sorry once more to my teammates, the club, and the club president.

"At times fervor gets the better of me because I always want to win and assist my team. My determined nature stems from the affection I feel for this team and each thing it symbolizes."

Vinicius moved to the Spanish capital from Brazil in the year 2018 for £38.7m and has accumulated 111 goals in 335 appearances.

But his career in the Madrid is far from certain with reports in recent months stating that Los Blancos would think about allowing the young star move on if they got a good proposal.

When he was taken off on the match day, TV coverage from coverage provider Dazn picked him up stating: "Again me! I'm exiting the club! It's wiser if I go, I'm going."

In his new message on X, he commented: "I vow to keep fighting at all times for the welfare of Real Madrid, as I have acted since the initial arrival."
