Approximately twenty-five thousand households in southeastern Queensland woke up without power on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events passed over the state, producing powerful gusts topping 109km/h.
Large Frozen Precipitation and Extensive Impact
Residents reported large ice chunks as large as seven centimeters in certain regions. Meteorological experts verified that various areas across the state had been impacted by significant hail.

Response teams were working to restore energy supply throughout the impacted areas, with approximately seventy teams working to manage the extensive power failures.
Southern State's Weather Woes
Meanwhile, around one thousand households in the southern state also experienced energy failures after Melbourne recorded its most precipitation in over 500 days.
State Emergency Services handled nearly 600 calls for help across the state, mainly for property damage but also for fallen timber and inundation.

- Wyndham area - over 175 help reports
At one point on Sunday, over 28,000 energy customers in the state were experiencing outages.

Moist weather were expected to linger along significant areas of the state's eastern regions this coming days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.
Tuesday was forecast to be the most rainy day, with ongoing severe weather risk expected across multiple regions of both states.

Medical authorities warned that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, especially given the current weather patterns.
